Russia wins 4-1 in Anisimov’s debut

New York Rangers forward Artem Anisimov made his debut for Russia’s senior national team on Friday, going scoreless in Russia’s 4-1 victory over the Italian national team before a sold out crowd in the small town of Asiago.  The 21-year old rookie will get another chance to make an impression on the Russian coaching staff on Saturday when the teams move on to Bolzano for the second of their two scheduled exhibition games.
