Oh, come on now. Did you really think I wouldn’t take the opportunity to post a pair of back-to-back highlight reel goals by my favorite prospect? Sure it’s only preseason, and no, these aren’t Norris Trophy defenseman he’s embarrassing, but hopefully his play in the past two preseason games has given New York Rangers fans an idea of why I think Artem Anisimov is a special prospect.

I have to say… one of the best things about the goal against Boston was the look of joy/incredulity on Parenteau’s face when he was celebrating with Anisimov. I can’t help but smile every time I watch it.

Maybe defensemen were not of Norris trophy pedegree but goalies were definitely Vezina level… : )
