After failing to provide any English-language information on their official web site during the league’s inaugural season (poorly translated statistics aside), the KHL has announced the launch of Hot Ice, a magazine and web site covering the league and Russian hockey, published in both English and Russian. The English version is still a little thin on content, and the writing won’t win any awards, but its worth checking out for those who are interested in the KHL or Russian hockey — even if it reads a little (ok, a lot) like propaganda (it is a league-produced publication, after all).

The article on Jagr alone makes it more worthwhile to me than anything on any Canadian/American website. Too bad Ranger fans (at least the more vocal ones) didn’t have even 10% of the appreciation for Jagr that this writer expresses.
Once again thanks Squishy — I always look forward to your posts.

It looks a lot better than that ridiculous season subscriber sub site that the Rangers have just launched.
