Thursday April 02nd 2009, 8:44 pm

Hartford Wolf Pack leading scorer P.A. Parenteau, who currently ranks fourth in AHL scoring with 78 points in 74 games, was named to the 2008-09 AHL First All-Star Team on Thursday.  The sixth-year pro improved on last year’s Second-Team honors with his first ever First-Team selection, and is just three points short of last season’s career-high 81 points with five games reminaing in the season.  The 26-year old native of Hull, Quebec joins former Wolf Pack winger Alexandre Giroux and Providence defenseman Johnny Boychuk on the First Team, while former Pack center Jason Krog centers the Second-Team All-Stars.  The full list of All-Star Team members is available from the AHL.
