Ranger prospect Evgeny Grachev is writing a blog for US-based hockey web site IceDaily.com. His first post, which was written prior to Team Russia’s 5-1 exhibition loss to Team USA last Tuesday, was added to the site yesterday. In it, he talks about his Russian team, himself, his family, and life in Brampton, Ontario, where he plays for the Brampton Battalion of the Ontario Hockey League.

Is his game on today? Russia vs. Slovakia somewhere on the net?
Rob – it’s on TSN so Canadian users can watch live via their web site or (I think) the rest of us can watch it archived later on tonight or tomorrow.
I suspect the feed might also end up on JustinTV, but haven’t found a link yet. I’ll update the post with one if/when I do.
Thanks for the kind words Lenny.
Thank you so much, I live in Central NY and if not for people like you + the web I would like in a hockey black hole. My worst day was when they pulled our AHL team to Albany. So thanks again for all you do.
Nice site, im going to add you to my blog roll.

Rob – I failed, sorry. It should be available at http://www.tsn.ca later, I believe. I can tell you that Russia’s up 3-1 and Grachev’s picked up his first point (a secondary assist) though.
Edit: Make that 4-1. Two goals by Filatov and two goals by Goncharov so far.
Yea keeping track on the IIHF website 6-1 now FILATOV with the Hat Trick.
Rob, and anyone else looking for it, here’s the link to this afternoon’s Russia-Slovakia game.
