The Brampton Battalion has posted an update on Ranger prospect Evgeni Grachev and his progress in adapting to his new team and the North American style of play.

Grachev, playing left wing on a line with center Matt Duchene and right wing Scott Tanski, is currently in the midst of a 9-game point scoring streak in which he’s picked up 5 goals and 5 assists, giving him a total of 5 goals and 6 assists for 11 points in 13 games so far this season.  Grachev’s scoring streak coincides with a run in which the Battalion has won eight straight games, vaulting them into the top spot in the OHL’s Central Division.

“He’s a skilled player. We knew that when he came here, but you really see it on his line,” shared linemate Tanski. “He’s skilled with the puck and sees the ice well. He’s easy to play with. For a big man, he can really move his feet. He’s really found his wheels in the last seven or eight games, and that’s great for him.”
