The KHL completed a video review of goals scored between the start of the season and October 6th and changed the scoring on a number of them as a result. Of most note: Jaromir Jagr has been given an assist on Anton Malishev’s goal at 8:11 of the second period in Avangard’s game vs. Lada Togliatti on September 9th, while Alexei Cherepanov lost his assist on Alexei Bondarev’s goal in the final seconds of the second period in Avangard’s 6-0 win over Metallurg Magnitogorsk. The assist was instead credited to his linemate, Anton Kuryanov.

The updates give Jagr sole possession of the fourth spot in the KHL’s scoring race with 10 goals and 8 assists for 18 points in 14 games. Cherepanov drops off his point per game pace with 7 goals and 4 assists for 11 points in 12 games. He’ll look to extend his goal scoring streak to seven games and set a new club record today against Ivan Baranka and Spartak Moscow, a game that can be watched live at 11:30 EDT.
