I agree with you Thane, I believe Jagr is sharing glory stories of the NHL with Cherepanov, telling him about the inner workings of the Rangers organization, the wonderful facilities etc, what it's like to play in MSG.
As far as you, Bob, I'm sorry you think that you could have made a better pick with the 17 slot, but to call someone you don't know a pansy and a mama's boy based on translated interviews? Hate to say it, but I've read all the same interviews and he's said NOTHING REMOTELY resembling him never leaving Russia. Your claims are groundless and you seem to have no actual reason to not like this guy, other than he wasn't the pick you wanted. I'm sure Glen Sather will be phoning you immediately to apologize personally. Schmuck.

I think staying in Russia with Jagr is a good thing for him. He will end up in Hartford for his first couple of years till he is ready to wear a blueshirt. I like the thought of an all Russian line in a couple of years. If he's as good as they say he is, he will be in the NHL, if he is NOT then he will stay in the KHL.

Personally I think Cherepanov is a pansy. He's a mama's boy who is already is talking like he won't leave Russia. To me, he doesn't want to play in the best league in the world to challenge himself. It was a waste of a pick it seems. Kid I wanted around our spot was Max Pacioretty and it seems like he's on tract to become a Eric Cole like player at the NHL level which is something we could badly use.
